There is so much to see and do in our community!
Start your day with a quick stop at Tom's Dairy Freeze, known for their ice cream, frozen yogurt and hand-cut fries. Then head over to Colonel Samuel Smith Park, known for its beautiful sunrises overlooking the lake, bird watching and fishing. Here you will see a variety of plants, trees, birds, other wildlife, bike and walking trails, and the city's first ice skating trail (in a figure-eight shape). Bring your special friend and take advantage of an unfenced dogs off-leash area.
Head over to the modern Humber Bay Arch Bridge located in Sir Casimer Gzowski Park, part of the Martin Goodman Trail. This is a pedestrian and bicycle through arch bridge known for its beautiful photogenic spots overlooking Lake Ontario.
Pick up lunch at the Cheese Boutique, known for its gourmet cheeses and meats, and head up to Islington and Kipling and enjoy Toronto's Village of Murals in the Village of Islington. These 28 unique murals depict the area's people and history dating back to the late 1700's. Here you will also find Montgomery's Inn, a Georgian-style tavern from the 1830's, displaying period pieces and hosting a farmers' market.
Centennial Park Conservatory on Elmcrest Road is another must-see. It boasts five seasonal flower shows, including the Christmas flower show featuring horse and carriage rides, Victorian carolers and hot apple cider. Enjoy biking, disc golf and more at the park outside as well.
Enjoy!
